Lesson 10: Programming

The last lesson of the course was based on programming.
During this class, we learned how to use different programs such as: Primary Code, Makey Makey, Cubetto and Scratch (Scratch and Scratch JR).
First, we learned Primary Code, which is an essay way of starting to acquire knowledge about programming. It's very simple and you can use it complemented with "Makey Makey".



We also used Scratch and Scratch JR, which is a computer application that enables you to create your own games and animations.

All of those programs, in my opinion, are really useful in order to create activities to our students in the future.

Lesson 9: Innovative and creative use of digital technology

The aim objective of this lesson was to recognize the multimedia information that allow teachers to create more attractive content and facilitates its assimilation by students. During this lesson we talked about how we can use multimedia in order to make compositions adapted to specific educational needs.
We used different tools:
- Gimp: it enables you to edit images and sounds.
- Tools to create interactive activities such as HotPotatos, JClic and Cuadernia.

This lesson was so useful, specially for future teachers, because in my opinion, these kind of tools give you different ways of teaching contents to students in an entertaining and dynamic way

Lesson 8: NETIQUETTE

In this lesson, we focused on the definition of "forum",which is a public space where we can meet and communicate with others. It's a place for coexistence so in order to make it comfortable for everyone, we shuld follow some rules.
So, during the class, we talked about the different rules we should follow in these kind of spaces.
Then, we used this information and did an acitivity in class, using a forum created in the web site of our Univeristy "aula virtual". We were asked to wrote a message about those rules in order to share it with the rest of our classmates.
Finally we created a scoring rubric to evaluate that email.
In my opinion, having knowledge of the behavior we have to show in these kind of spaces it's so important if we want to share where everyone can feel comfortable and safe.

Lesson 7: Digital channels to collaborate

At the beginning of this lesson we were talking about the channels to connect with others and to collaborate by digital tools with the end of interaction. The objective of this practice was to use what we learnt to work in team, to create collaborative projects and to create and build common resources.
We were focused on the following theoretical concepts:
- Digital collaboration.
- Collaborative resources.
And then, we did some activities to put into practice the theoretical information.
We played Who is who in class. We made the connection through Google Hangouts and then, with our team work we did the same but using Whatsapp.

Making this activity we considered new ways of connecting with each other and facilitates the communication, something that is really useful with people who live far away or can not be in the meeting.

Lesson 6: Civic participation

During this lesson, we were focused on acquire information related with the following points:

- To know and reflect about what civic participation is.
- To know how technology is useful in order to particpate in democratic actions. 
- To know tools that allow us to participate and express opinion in different virtual spaces.
. To know how to use electronic DNI or electronic signature.

Then, we divided the practical part of our lesson into 2 differents parts:
1. Creating the survey on GoogleForms.
We were asked to use it in order to choose a name for our course of ICT


2. Then, we watched some videos about the ‘’Electronic DNI’’ and ‘’Electronic signature’’. After watching this videos, we were asked to create a mental map in which we expose the information we have learned.



I found really useful the first part of the lesson, because I didn't know how to do questionnaires but I think it's really useful to use it to know others' opinions and do researches.

Lesson 5: Sharing information and digital contents.

In this lesson, we learnt how to do an infographic and a mental map. The main objective of this lesson was to learnt how to use visual contents, so at the beginning of it we talked about the tools we could use to treat educative contents and identify the type of liceses applied to an open educative content.
We were asked to choose a topic, in this case, we chose bullying due to the big impact it is having in our society nowadays.
Then, we use easel.ly to do an infographic and then we also created a mental map.
I found quite interesting this lesson because we, as students,  can use these tools in order to summarize the information.

Lesson 4: interaction by digital technologies.

The objective of this lesson was to achieve the information needed to be able to interact by digital devices and understand the key concept of digital communication. During this lesson, we talked about the competences we needed to acquite to be able to do the following tasks:
- To surf the Internet being aware of its digital identity
- To surf the Internet in a safe way.
- To use digital platforms as communication media.
- To create virtual learning communities.
- To detect possible risky situation of cybersecurity in its students.
Then, we were asked to put into practice what we have learned in order to create a virtual learning community through a social network. In my case, and with my classmate (group number 4), we used the social network called Edmodo.
I leave in this page an image of our account.

As a future teacher, I found this activity really interesting because this social network is used by teachers and students and allow us to be in touch with our students and their parents. I think this social network is going to help me in the future to create a safe learning community space on Internet.

Lesson 3: Digital content, information evaluation and licensing.


In this lesson we learned how we can create a Google Sites page. 
First of all, we talked about the most important concepts you have to keep in mind: digital content, software (and its different types: free, private… Then, we talked about the intellectual property and copyright.
In order to create a website, we have to use Google Sites.
After that, we learned to use the CC license selector to obtain a copyright stamp. I leave here the link of the web site: https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/ Using this you can obtain a stamp for your website.

Lesson 2: cloud data storage and retrieval


1.       In the second unit, we talked about cloud data storage and retrieval.
In this lesson we learned about some virtual repositories of information. We learned basic concepts as Cloud (and its different kinds: private, public, community and hybrid), the services delivered in the Cloud…
There are different Cloud storages: Dropbox, Google Drive, Box…
Finally, we learned the utilities of them: we can upload or create files, edit them, sharing documents with other classmates…
We were asked to do an activity in which we share a document through Google Drive and, in groups, we had to invent a story and do it at the same time, each one with his/her own computer.
In conclusion, we acquired information in this lesson that, in my own experience, improved the way of doing works in groups. These kind of tools are really useful, specially among students, because we have a lot of works in groups and these tools allow us to be in touch and do activities together.

Lesson 1: Navigation and Search


1     In this first lesson, I learned some concepts about ‘navigation and search’.
On the one hand, we learned the difference between Internet (decentralised set of interconnected communication networks) and Web (organized sites with pages linked to each other).
Also, we know the different web browsers we can use in order to access web pages and move from one page to another: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefix, Chrome… After that, in order to acquire information we need to use a search engine such as: Google, Yahoo… In order to find information in Google, we have to use keywords. For instance, if we want to find a definition, we must write ‘’define: …. ‘’,for synonyms "~" etc
In my opinion, this activity has been really useful for me due to the fact that I have been looking for information on Internet during many years and until now, I didn't know the correct way to do it. Nowadays,  internet has a big impact in our society: we, as students, use it to inform ourselves about many topics so we should have the knowledge to do it properly.
